About us

This is an independent guide to two monuments of St Mark's Square in Venice: the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica. We built it to put in one place what you need: official prices, opening hours, how to get there and practical rules, with the official prices shown next to those of the tickets we feature.

We are not the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE), which manages the Doge's Palace, or the Procuratoria di San Marco, which manages the Basilica and the Campanile, and this is not the official website of either. We do not run the monuments, we do not use official logos or their photos, and we do not sell official tickets: those are sold on their own websites.

The tickets, passes and tours featured here are sold by our partner Tiqets. Prices, hours and rules come from the official websites, and we note when we last checked them (22 October 2026). They change from year to year. If you spot a mistake, write to us and we will fix it.

Doge's Palace Visit is an independent visitor guide.
